I have a Suzuki DF300AP. When you turn on the master power switch at the console the motor immediately trims down and you cannot raise it with the switch on the shifter or the switch on the motor. With the master power switch at the console in the off position both switches for the tilt/trim work fine both in the up and down direction

Sounds like your tilt/trim system is OK.

Possibly bad master power sw. or short to ground in your boat wiring where tilt/trim is sharing power with another system/component.

Are any other systems/components acting up with the master power switch on? Engine start, lights, bilge, aerators, horn, gauges, fish finders etc.

It seems like everything else is working fine with the master power on. It has been doing fine until a couple of days ago when this issue came up. Thanks for your help
