Mehh....at least he wasn't naked.
Sacred heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen For those who believe, no explanation is necessary....for those who don't, no explanation is possible For the sake of his sorrowful Passion, have Mercy on us and the whole world

Mom would not allow hats or outdoor shoes to be worn inside the house; and I’m enforcing the tradition. My wife gets embarrassed when I make sure our friends, neighbors, and children remove their shoes before entering our home.
RJ, I do have an extra pair of house shoes you can borrow if you stop by to visit. What in the wide world of sports are "house shoes"?

Good lawt CCTX, don't go to Wal-Mart or Lowes in Gun Barrell , Your head would probably explode.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

There used to be the good guys and the bad guys.. your standing in line to pay at all night convenience store and you scope the area figuring out who is who if all hell breaks loose. The things in pj and purple hair are all classified as no help.

I used to go once a week to Wmart at 4:30am before fishing on Saturdays and have the store nearly to myself. This is the perfect time to go—night shift got off at 3am and is at Wafflehouse or in bed. The drunks are off the roads. It’s too early for most other people. Since COVID, Wmarts around here are no longer 24H—they shut down 11pm to 6am to clean the store. This has put an end to my weekly Wmart pre fishing grocery and hardware shopping.
What in the wide world of sports are "house shoes"?
House shoes are a generic term synonymous with slippers but with more accuracy, clarifying that they are to be worn inside the house, not on the lawn or in the streets. In addition, some people think that slippers are the same thing as sandals or flip flops. This is incorrect. Similar to using the term “evening meal” instead of dinner or supper. People have different definitions of dinner and supper; so if you say “evening meal” everyone understands.

Yes, that is a perfectly logical explanation; or he has a newborn baby at home and it was his turn to be up all night with the bottle and diaper changes.

Would the Ruby slippers that Dorothy stole from the dead witches feet qualify of House Shoes? ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/09/full-1606-152743-jjjjjhhhh.jpg)

By night gown, I mean robe— like what you’d see at a spa, but his was a dark gray robe/ not white.
I did not see what items he was purchasing, but it is possible he was purchasing some heavy cream to make White Russians.
I suppose he might be having a tough time with the Queen’s passing and all.
With the robe clarification, I’m going with option 1. Works from home, doesn’t have a lot of virtual meetings. I’d also entertain the possibility that he’s been I’ll for a week or 10 days and this is his first trip out of the house.

Agree, those are two very likely possibilities.
Dorothy wore those ruby slippers on the yellow brick road, so she has used them as outdoor shoes and would be left either outside the front door or in the mud room at my house.
