I get it about most of the china batts not having much of a BMS..........So what do ya'll think the top five rated lithium battery brands would be for troll motor? All Lithium Bats will be from China and the majority will have a (BMS) battery management system. The EG4 will be the only battery on the market in a group 24 size, 12v 100Ah, weighing in at 22 lbs, w/BMS and Bluetooth monitoring from your cell phone priced at $550.00. This battery will allow you to be worry free while on the water and in the garage while on the charger. So why 3, 12V @ 22lbs/each when there are complete 36V units @ 40-45 pounds when some of the selling points of lithium are saving weight and space? Only thing I can think is if one 12V goes down vs a single point 36V you still have 24V to run the trolling motor and aren't dead on the water?
Let's DO IT!

With 3 12's if one of them has a problem you can easily swap in a cheap lead acid until you get a replacement. If your 36 goes south you're dead in the water until you can get a replacement, unless you run two of them.

Been trying to lighten up my rearend ......these will do it!!!! A Lithium battery will take you all the way consistently to the end of the charge and then boom, time to charge. I recommend charging each time you get off of the water. I have mine charging on the Noco charger constantly and the batteries are ready when I'm ready. Don't get me talking about your rearend...It just ain't happening. How much is the NOCO charger for 3 banks Noco GENPRO10X3...$324.95

So, 5 amp charger bring them to 100% just take a little longer? Correct but not much. Lithium charge at a faster rate over led acid.

the mercury optimax motor require ALOT of starting amps.. I found this out by accident.. we left a light on overnight by accident.. got to the ramp and the motor would crank over, sounding like normal crank speed, but would not start.. jumped it off with the truck battery and it fired up.. I think the injectors and plugs require alot of energy to fire the motor off.. so if you ever try to start your merc opti and it cranks but wont start, check your battery FIRST. if its not fully charged . charge it up.. if it still wont start, try a different battery before u try anything else. you will think, well its cranking over fine, cant be the battery, but you would be mistaken. I run duralast gold starting batteries in my boats, and they do great. they last around 4 years.. I run Dakota lithiums for my livescope, 7 year warranty and they do great.. the Dakotas had to go thru a few cycles before they held power for a long period.,, dont know if thats normal for lithium batteries.. but after 3 cycles, the time they lasted seemed to increase almost 2 fold. Dakota litium is the only brand Ive tried so I cant comment on any others. I do think Dakota is the only brand that offers 7 year warranty though. 7 years solid.. no prorated warranty/
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Check out Impulse Lithium if you are looking for a Cranker. They have Livesay, Palaniuk, Lester, Howell and a lot more big name guys running them. Those guys are also running the starting battery. I did see this package on BBC earlier for $2400 https://www.impulselithium.com/product/36v-all-in-lithium-package/They have a full 10 year warranty, not prorated and are bluetooth
