So wade roe drama in the world. The way I understand this is that the supreme court is essentially turning it back to the states since it was never constitutional anyways. The other thing I understand is that abortion shouldn't be legal after 15 weeks unless it puts the mother in a situation that could cause harm to herself or the baby won't make it to term. 15 weeks is a long time to make a decision on having a baby. Even if the pregnancy is from some sort of trauma, that gives a pretty good window to make a decision. Even if you didn't know until a period was missed (lets say it takes 4-6 weeks until this is realized), that still is 9-11 weeks to make a decision.
So what the hell is with all the protesting? It seems like nothing has changed at all. What are they exactly protesting? I have to be missing something right?

Well if you are pro-abortion and live in a state that was legally required to provide them before and now that state has banned them you'd be ticked. That's what they are upset about. If you live in a state where there is no change, not much to be ticked about.

I might be wrong, but I thought in Texas it was going to be illegal after six weeks.

If you live in a state where there is no change, not much to be ticked about. Are there really any states that ban them indefinitely? And with the 15 week ruling coming down from the supreme court, I would think that if there are states that ban them indefinitely, they would adopt the 15 week ruling as well. It goes both ways. It made it to supreme court, they made a ruling, and those states that had term abortions won't be allowed to commit murder anymore, and the states that ban it all together, will be legally required to offer this service up to 15 weeks. It seems to bring the whole situation to level playing grounds. I agree with previous statements, almost seems like people are being destructive at this point just because they think they have a reason to be. I bet if you pulled 20 of these protestors aside, not a single one would give an exact answer to the reasoning they were there. I will say, the far left has gotten way too extreme and have lost their minds. I always thought a good balance in beliefs was good for the country to a certain degree, but the libs have literally lost their mind and don't have the ability to think. Again, questioning myself thinking I have missed a key piece of information somewhere.

I must have missed the part about 15 weeks. As I understood it, the entirety of the matter was pushed to the states so each state can do whatever they please including total bans. I believe some states have already completely shut down clinics, but I could be wrong. If all states are required to offer them up to 15 weeks then you are right, this is a big stink about nothing because 92% of abortions occur within the first trimester and most of the rest are due to severe medical issues with the child or mother.

Again, questioning myself thinking I have missed a key piece of information somewhere. Missouri had passed a law that would trigger an immediate abortion ban if Roe V Wade was overturned. That made them the first state to completely ban abortion. I believe there will be 10-12 that will follow suit within the next year. The 15 week case in Mississippi that was ruled on by SCOTUS will not be in affect very long. They have a provision to ban most abortions 10 days after their attorney general publishes a notice. The exemptions being health of the mother and cases of rape that were reported.

If you live in a state where there is no change, not much to be ticked about. How about they just try to prevent getting pregnant in the first place if they don't want a baby. It's 2022....there are ways to prevent pregnancy now.some are as simple as stopping at 7 Eleven and buying a pack of condoms.

I mentioned this in another thread: The other strange and messed up irony here... 63 million abortions since 1973. 65% of abortions are by minorities. Most of them would have voted democrat. Half the rest would have as well. Do the math on it... we would have another 50 million democrats voting right now making our country solidly blue. Add in the death of red boomers and the blue shift will really accelerate over the next 20 years. Frankly, I'm surprised Democrats aren't the ones who are anti-abortion.

Everyone I know that is upset that states like Texas make no allowance for rape and incest. That has them torqued off
