Yep, had the kids over with their families, cooked out and swam. Got me some new BBQ and a bottle of Penelope Bourbon. Best of times.

I didn't get anything, but never do more than maybe a card. I did get to go fishing, but it was so hot I bailed after an hour or so.

Spent time with kids and grandkids along with a great lunch of steaks, salmon, jalapeno poppers, baked potatoes and corn on the cob all washed down with some cold beer. Couple of naps yesterday. Life is good!

Spent the day with family. Since my dad passed on Father’s Day ‘02 it is a bit more meaningful.

When you say you got to go fishing are you implying you had to ask and were granted permission to go fishing?

Worked, but got to make it to my sons all star game last night! We’re all hanging out today though.

My Son stopped in for a couple days on his way from northern Ill to the farm in southern Mo., so I had my Dr with me for the day.

Got what I wanted in a pretty mellow day after a 48hr shift. Kids came by and dropped off some gifts. I worked out in tbe yard for a bit after a new chain fixed my chainsaw issues I thought I had screwed it up and was gonna have to replace tge bar, chain and clutch but a new chain fixed it up and cuts like new again.


No complaints at all. I am past the point of wanting anything big I would rather my kids save their money or spend it on their own kids.

Sounds like you will be going to car shows now.

I don’t ever ask for anything for Father’s Day, but the wife/kids always pick out something nice for me. Our son will always overspend on gifts for us, and we kind of have to keep him in check. He only makes about $10/hr and gets about 25 hours a week, but will always buy me a nice gift. Our daughter is not as thoughtful as her brother.
