I think it was last June when I saw my first one outside of El Paso. Saw my first one in Ft Worth on Monday or Tuesday coming off I35W to I20. Not a fan, but probably safer than the idiot truckers I've seen texting and driving

VIA in Arlington has the self-driving Lexus crossover SUVs. We have at least one that is always around campus. Hate it. Drives way too freaking slow and it stops wherever to pick up the riders. Like it'll stop 20 feet in front of the stop sign, pick up a rider and then stop again at the stop sign. UGH!!!!!!

It would take me about 32 seconds to go ahead and grab the wheel.

What could possibly go wrong with a self driving vehicle hauling 80,000 lbs of cargo down the interstate at 60-75 mph... popcorn

I saw a documentary where they are working towards having convoys of self driving semi trucks all un-manned.

Cargo not 80000 pounds. That's total rig weight or it used to be back in the day when I was dispatching. For us, seems like 32 would put you there
