I’m sure there will be some idiots that disagree with my position on this…but On The Border has the best fresh salsa of any Texmex joint alive in America today.

Mr.horse you need to try the 3 salsas at ernesto's, unless you drink bud lite for the flavor.

I'm not and never have been a slow driver. I go a few miles an hour over the speed limit. In 1995, when I was driving back and forth from East Texas to the Metroplex every weekend dating my wife, I got five speeding tickets in one year. That was back when the speed limit was 55 and I got put on six months probation when the DPS finally figured it out. The judge told me so much as one moving violation in those six months and he would take away my driver's license. I said, "Yes, sir."

I sometimes wish I could ask people who are tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, and in general seem like they are going to have a stroke if everyone doesn't get out of their way why they are in such an incredible hurry. Where are they going? Are they just going home from work? Is there something that special at home that makes them so crazed to get there?

I'm thinking Kate Upton called and told them she is only going to be in the mood for the next 15 minutes.

I drive from Tyler to Arlington once or twice a week down the 20. About one out of five trips I see a DPS trooper going West between Van and Canton or East about 5 miles out of Terrell. Other than that, I almost never see any trooper, only the occasional local leos on the frontage roads. My trips in are during the morning commute hours and I usually do 78 through the Buc-Cee’s to 67 stretch but have to watch guys blow by me at 90 when there is enough room for them to do the lane tango. Between Terrell and Tyler I do 83-85 but the semis choke down the high speed traffic so much that high speed really doesn’t gain much

Dallas to Sulphur is the stretch I was talking about. I probably saw 5 or more as well last week.

Did you see the Cumby super cop? He has quite a reputation.

If you travel through the big town of Gregory, Texasl...the cop shop is on the main drag. Four cars they have. Been driving through there almost daily for over 10 years. Follow the speed limit. I do I've seen too many cats pulled over. It drops from 45 to 35 to 20. When all four cars are at the shop, I still slow down lol.

If I had a dollar for every single time someone in a Dodge Charger has nearly wrecked me, I'd have Sam Walton money!

The shootings on the highways have been beyond out of control! A family friend of ours was side-swiped last month on 635 by someone in a dodge challenger. Not my friend's fault at all. The challenger didn't even pull over and tried to speed away in rush hour traffic on 635. My friend followed the driver until he leaned out the window and started shooting at him while the passenger took the wheel! The bullets hit 2 other cars around him and they all pulled over after that to get away from the gunman in the challenger and wait for police.

An incident like this doesn't even make the news anymore.

I usually set the cruise control at 78 and have never been pulled over. If I'm in a hurry will occasionally drive 80. In a 75mph speed limit area, they seem to target people going over 80.

And yes, Cumby is notorious for excessive speeding tickets.

Traffic cops here used pick-ups as radar cars. Probably confiscated drug vehicles.

Yeah, the blacked out vehicle in Wilmer yesterday was a truck, and the white one today in either Fort Worth, or Everman, was a truck as well. Alvarado uses a blacked out Explorer (I think it's an Explorer, at least).

This is what I usually do. I don't speed much now that the limit went to 75. 75-80 is about as fast as I care to go anyway. I'm not on my way to a fire or the emergency room, and I never get that call from Kate Upton.

I was driving my semi on i30 towards Dallas a few weeks back. I had a guy in a u-haul taigating me, then brake checking. He would slow down and I would get a few miles ahead and then he'd catch up and do.it all over. I was in a line passing slower traffic when he passed on my right. I'm in a line of about 10 vehicles and he pulls in front of me and brake checks me so hard I knew someone behind me must have rear ended someone.

He pulls back to the right and points an AR15 out the window at me. I slow down and keep him in front of me. I called highway patrol 4 times in 100 miles and never got anyone to stop him.

I stop for fuel in Rockwall and see a cop. I tell him what happens and he just tells me they don't patrol 30 much and unless shots are fired they really won't respond.
