Check the park office before leaving for Newman Bottom. It seems that Newman Bottom will be closed from Monday to Thursday next week.

Check the park office before leaving for Newman Bottom. It seems that Newman Bottom will be closed from Monday to Thursday next week. Thanks for the heads up!! Trailway Closure The Trailway, including Newman Bottom and Irwin Bridge parking areas and the Nails Creek public hunting lands (PHL), will close on Feb. 28, 2022, at sunset and re-open March 3, 2022, at 5 p.m. for a natural resource management project. The Yegua PHL will remain open for normal activities and fishing. Hunter orange is required while in the PHL; please obey all posted signs for your safety.

Hello. Is the NB area suppose to be closed this week or next? I'm going to try going tomorrow morning and maybe Wednesday Yes whole park is closed Tuesday, and maybe Wednesday and Thursday if they don't get the federal project completed. But J-Moe just reported that he caught fish above Irwin in the WMA.. Which if you want to fish the WMA you must wear the orange vest and hat so any hunters out there can see you..

Not Slowest  I wonder if that's because it warmed up today or is it retribution for you demeaning Lake Skunkerville? My guess is the latter. You can fish with Ben. I ain't fishing anywhere close to you

Jmoe I am jealous you get to go fishing this creek so much. But it's probably a good thing because I would probably be divorced. It used to get very close during white bass season but after years of beating on me she conceded I was too hard headed for it to do any good and surrendered her position Just don't try it when you have small kids at home
