Bingo

I’ll add that in my unqualified opinion, with all the fish taken from Ivie and transferred to Athens this year it will hurt the lake in years to come. We might get some of those fish back alive and we might not. How many fry did we lose if they did spawn at the hatchery and not the lake? They won’t restock Ivie with all of those fry, they spread them around the state. They’ll give us a token amount, which goes with how they feel about stocking any lake west of hwy 16. I know this will go against some of the SAL huggers, but it’s just mi dos centavos! And by the way a HUGE Congratulations to the young man who caught the fish of a Lifetime!

Its my opinion that if all these fish would have been left in fork and ivie we would have had a new state record by now. Hope you are doing well Buddy, you are missed at the lease.

He is already printing money with his share in Googan and his YouTube. He obviously cares more about the welfare of a true giant bass than hauling it in to get it weighed and put in a truck and hauled half way across Texas for the SAL program or for self promotion.

I have always liked most of the Googans. Several are really good anglers and seem like good guys as well.

Congrats on a fish of a lifetime. cheers

When you have caught and released a teenager without the fanfare of SAL you respect others that have done the same

Can’t argue with that. roflmao

I have a feeling, that if the SAL program worked so great, the TPWD biologist would be on here talking about it. But they aren’t and don’t…

The constant name calling and personal attacks from you guys who never seem to add anything of value to the conversation gets super old.

Plus I always liked Cliff.

Well ya see, Norm, it’s like this… A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”

So Cliffy, you made up your statement earlier, huh? You can admit it, since you never told us where to see the info you were claiming.

We can all make up information, not sure what good it does. Kinda like all the mask mandates, you know.

First we can say, if we just close for 2 weeks…then we’ll only let essentials work. Then if we all wear mask, then all get vaccinated, then ahellllll, screw it. We’re just gonna have to live with it.

The constant push of your narrative and turning threads like this one in particular gets super old. I don’t drink nor never have so the Norm and beer drinking comparison didn’t work out well for you this time so try again.

Go get a history lesson from the director at Athens he will tell you where there momma was caught years ago the sal program works!

I would like to see how many of the guys on this forum that caught a 13 + share lunker would turn it loose. My guess not many at all with these egos I know I wouldn’t!
