I am way past getting mad at other fishermen on the lake. I have had them pull up so close I could have easily cast past their boat. Even when I am in a tournament that kind of stuff never rattles me. I usually turn to them and start talking to them like nothing has happened. Now.... the thing that does bother me is ski boats especially wake boat getting so close to me that I get a lot of water pouring into the boat from their waves. I can deal with jet skis and pontoon boats all day, at times when the water is calm, I like it when they go by to create some wave action and stir the water up. Well the jet skis might bother me if they decide to go between me and the shore when i am sitting about 20' from the shore. Most of the time it is some teenager or even younger driving the jet ski. All in all, I have never really got into an argument on the water, I have gave a few the one finger salute.

I once had a guy fish one mile away from me. We were the only two guys on the lake. What a jerk, he had the entire lake to fish but he decides to fish a mile away from. People these days

People these days The audacity of that jerk! Let me do some finger warmups so that I can properly advise you of what I would do to the guy.

My home water was the Fox Chain of Lakes, about an hour north of Chicago. It is one of the busiest waterways in the country. Getting on the "merry go round" to fish community spots was the norm. My biggest peeve was not guys getting too close, but guys fishing points or spots wrong. Morons would always get right on top. More than once I pulled Muskies from right under their boats.

If you’ll go to YouTube and type in. Fisherman harassed me while fishing and I lost my cool. Anyone know the [censored] in the Triton? LOL. That’s just like the guys on here talking a lot of [censored] about what they would have done but when there’s nothing but air and opportunity you find that they are all bark. Ridiculous how people react to unimportant stuff like fishing.

Exactly, Lake Fork in the spring........I fish Holbrook too, I got into a situation where me and another boat rounded the corner on each other not knowing either of us were there. We met on a point and I was slightly ahead of the other boat reaching the point we were fishing and had already fished the bank leading up to the point. I was throwing a jig and caught 4 fish on almost back to back cast right in front of these guys. Do they deserve to get mad at me?

I fish Fayette which is about 3 1/2 times bigger than Holbrook. There are only so many productive places to fish on Fayette and most of the spots I consider as "community holes". With good mapping there are really no secret spots. I have had people come in on me and there have been times that I have gotten close to other boats. I view Fayette as a very small lake and I don't get upset when someone comes in on me. I can imagine how small Holbrook fishes because its a little less than 700 acres. With that said I still think the other boat should have gone to another spot if there was only two boats on the water.

A few of these individuals are new boat owners do not know what they are doing. I believe it's due to the pandemic; look at the RV and boat sales. Although, times have changed and we are dealing with crazy, difficult and mad individuals; look at the crime rate around the nation. I'm the one who will back down from a fight but will defend myself if required.

Every single one of these threads is exactly same. HS kids, new boaters, bent rod pattern, keyboard heroes, vandalism advocates - yet I rarely see anything happening on the water. Maybe I'm just fishing the dead areas? When I feel like I may be "crowding" someone, I just ask if I can duck in behind them. Almost every time it has been "sure" and a "thanks for asking" with a couple of times that guys have told me that they were going to make another pass back through - in which case, I just wave and bow out. Communication is everything.

I have so many videos of the Village idiot. Some have no clue, some just dont care. Ran across several idiot on GV on the last 4 years. Think I am at nimber 50 on the village idiot clips. Common sense is not inherited, that's for sure. Think these guys were not paying attention, and just chewing the fat. This guy was an idiot. Drove up and over the point I was working. Might look far in the video, but it was close enough to hit with a carolina rig. And i have so many of these videos of wake boats that its not even funny. Caution i said a bad word in this one..
