Was out on day after Christmas and was able to make Val's (old) work. It looks bad, and has some holes, but
was able to get on the water from there.

58° was the going rate

Fishing was slow.................bagged a 8-10 lb Grinnell and a small slot
in a half day. B/B football jig

Best we are getting this really cold weather now because any grass that had grown could possibly die since we will be having 2 nights of a hard freeze. Hopefully it grows back later in February when most of cold weather is gone.we probably need 3-4 weeks and timely rain to grow it to its maximum

You sound like a CNN or MSNBC "news" anchor telling stories with unnamed sources. Coming on here to talk about a legit "touchy" subject without ANY facts is lame.

Source owns one of the major marina at the lake, I say that is reliable.

Needs to stay down thru summer to make any kind of impact. It's the only thing that keeps rayburn relevant. Higher water each spring since 2012 after a couple really low years. Water stays up in the brush and haygrass into summer. Plenty of cover for fry all year.

Cool! A nameless marina owner, very "reliable". If he knows something and won't put his name on it, he's part of the problem. It's not like he has some secret info that will get him arrested for sharing, lol. Nothing more than stirring up some bs.

I'm with DouglasJ, if he doesn't have the marina owner's permission then he shouldn't name him.

More reliable than FoxLies with Rudy Giuliani, Lynn Wood, MTG, Sydney Powell spreading known lies.

Oh for the days of Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Sam Donaldson, Harry Reasoner, Mike Wallace, etc.

Keep your lib-chick politics in the bunker, not in the bass fishing section

100% agree. And I'm most definitely NOT a liberal.

Just talked to the SRA. The draw down is to repair the dam, as told in the press release. https://www.sratx.org/press-release-lake-fork-reservoir-soil-cement-repairs/

The ramp at the park is already complete and was slid in the same way almost every other ramp is built.

Also, SRA does not receive funding from local taxes. Taxes go to the county, not the SRA. All of their funding is from water sales. Period.

So the marina owner saying that the "SRA took our money to build a park and now are going to hurt our ability to make money" is simply wrong. It's made up or misinformed information.

Pick up the phone and call them for yourselves.

Now here's the part where you reply and call the SRA liars and claim that your mysterious nameless friends are the truthtellers!
