It's going down. I just checked Rainswood ramp and would suggest you use FM 17 instead.
LFA is fishing Thursday so we will see if it is any better than it was 2 weeks ago (we were off for Christmas) when it really sucked. Water temps are still around 60.

I'll second not using Rainswood at real low levels. I don't know how far the ramp actually extends into the water but the last time it got like this the blowhole at the "end" of the ramp caused problems for bass boats. We could drag our duck boats over it into deeper water but bass boats were getting stuck, if they could get in at all.

Popes has a ramp the goes all the way to Sulphur Springs. Back when the lake got 7-1/2' low, Popes ramp was still going strong.

There were signs at the 'end' of the Rainswood ramp back in 2011-2012 when the lake was 7-8ft low, so I agree with those sentiments. The 515 W ramp is in great condition at this level.

Highway 154 public ramp(by Minnow Bucket was opened when the lake was opened in its first stage which was WAY less water than this drawdown. Be good for another 20’ drop.

What does this mean exactly? I do not think you really can see anything more with the lake being 3 feet lower than it was a few weeks ago with sonar. Unless I have totally been misunderstanding "graphs" the past 25 years or so...

I fished it back when it was drawn down in the 90's. 154, 515, and Popes were my ramps. I figure anything mid lake and to the upper ends will be useless.

That's the second time I've heard about the 90's draw down. I didn't start fishing until 2011, and that was ly first experience on the lake in the historic drought. The ratings curves on waterdatafortexas.org don't show a bigger draw-down than the drought. Am I missing something???
Fishing was slow on Christmas. Water temos were 58-60 from mid-lake south.
It would be interesting if someone could "move" some of the grass from the dry shallows to the new water level to see if it establishes and creates a more healthy grass population when the lake returns to normal (eventually).
