I do not think you really can see anything more with the lake being 3 feet lower than it was a few weeks ago with sonar. Unless I have totally been misunderstanding "graphs" the past 25 years or so...

probably meant GPS'ing

if it is dry this winter I expect 7' low to be a reality....it fished just fine like that prior to 2015 when it was low....I am making small targets for my self to set and drop while it is warm and looking at trails that I know to see where I can cut off of it or not.

Fishing was slow on Christmas. Water temps were 58-60 from mid-lake south.

It would be interesting if someone could "move" some of the grass from the dry shallows to the new water level to see if it establishes and creates a more healthy grass population when the lake returns to normal (eventually).

I don't remember the year but I do remember that there was some issue with the Dam and maybe a stuck gate or something like that. Either way I know that the lake got down to over 9' low for them to make the repairs. Fishing was great back then with the draw down and there were 4 of 5 ramps that were still open and good.

The good thing is during the drawdown the areas of the shoreline out of water will get new plant and brush growth so when lake fills back up it will help a whole lot habitat wise.

absolutely...never hurts the lake one bit if you get enough time at the right time for new plant growth!

if you have a bunch of acorns that piss you off in your yard take a few 5 gallon buckets and throw a hand full in the dirt of the shallows and step on them....Oak brush grows fast!

I heard from a confidential "source in the know" that the true reason for the draw down could be to complete the SRA park in Eugene's ditch.

It's a touchy subject with the SRA since they used "funds collected" from merchants to finance a project that could potentially take business away from the same said merchants.

I texted a friend and he responded by hoping I had a great Christmas and he'd see me soon sarcastic

my source is 100% reliable and I do not doubt there is a lot of truth in the statement if "they" said it

We all need to be spreading some fertilizer along the banks to help the grass come back when it fills back up. Seriously.
