I don't have a pic, but I have the rocking chair that my Great Grampa built for my Grandparents when they were married in 1936. All hand carved and still in use today. Never saw it leave my Grandparents living room until her final few days when she told me to go get it as she wanted me to have it.

I've got my grandfather's tackle box, and a shadow box of some of his old lures. Plus a couple of old fiberglass casting rods, and his old plaster mount of a 25# striper he caught.

Grandpa's Japanese rifle, bayonet and knee morter he brought back from the Philippines. (I need to donate these to the Nimitz) Pa's squirrel hunt .22 . Pa's metal work project of Memorial Stadium when he was at UT in '48. Ma's grandparents chair from their dining set they got for a wedding present. Uncle's paratrooper patch. He was KIA in Korea.
And most all, Pa's Navy dog tags. Did your Uncle wear this ? Canadian. His older brother and nephew were both paratroopers. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-3480-115093-canadian_paratroop_wings.jpg)

not my most prized, but these were my grandads fishing poles. He loved trolling for big stripers. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-20284-115096-20180224_135524.jpg)

I still have both parents in my life, so not much from them, yet. I can wait for that. A few items that I do have and keep in my nightstand to look at when I am missing the ones we have lost. 1st photo. My Grandpa's first military ID from 1927. He served in the Navy, Army and retired Air Force. Next to my Dad, he was the greatest man I knew. He passed last year. 2nd photo. My Grandpa on a Japanese tank taken on Wake Island. 3rd photo. Newspaper from Alpena, MI 1975. I was sitting on my Great, Great Grandfathers lap sharing M&M's with him on his 100th birthday. I am 48 now and I can seriously remember this day and the trip with my mom to Michigan to go visit him. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-36211-115090-grandpa_military_id.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-36211-115091-jap_tank_on_wake_island.jpg)

One of my most prized is this pic of my Dad. He was a Sergeant w/Louisiana State PoPo for 28 years Troop E. I recall him saying when he was on scooter duty, after chasing down a speeder, he would tell the driver...give me a few minutes, so he could shake the shakes from riding that bike. Pic taken in 1959. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-24796-115097-16.jpg)

My grandfather’s watch in remembrance of the loss of his son who served aboard the USS Minneapolis in the Pacific during WW II. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-15231-115098-0de6e850_c7af_4458_97b0_00e364980baa.jpeg)

I have a few. but the one that really tugs at my heart is a brown glass turtle candy dish that my grandmother had in her den.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

from 1979-1991 while in the Air Force, I also bowled weekends and took leave to bowl on the Professional Bowlers Association. (PBA) when in a tournament if you would bowl a 300 game you would get the PBA ring (made by Jostens). Each 300 game after that they would put a diamond around the crest. Here's my ring with 12 diamonds, that all that would fit... That’s pretty damn cool there Jim.

He still looked good in that pic. If you don’t mind me asking, how long did he live? I had a great great grandmother that lived to be 107. She was still walking until she fell and broke her hip at 107, she wound up dying 2/weeks after she broke her hip. Her mind was still sharp and she loved dipping W.E. Garrett sweet snuff or Rooster snuff.

Seems like Brett Favre got in a lot of trouble for sending pics of his prized possession. I better pass on showing mine.
