I reel a baitcaster with my right hand ( my dominant hand) , but I prefer to use my left hand on spinning reels.

Either one, I am somewhat ambidextrous. I'm right handed but can't write with my left but can do just about everything else with my left, even use the mouse on the computer with my left. So it doesn't matter how the reel is setup I just grab it and start slinging.

Like to hold the rod in my left hand, so yes, right handed retrieve on bait caster and spinning reel

I cast with my dominant hand and reel non-dominant. No particular reason though. I think it's just how the first baitcaster I ever used was setup and I didn't know it was unusual. I think I could change to the other way around if I thought it was any better.

Interesting results on that poll. My left hand does good to keep my watch on my wrist. It's useless otherwise.

MO Same here. But I also have a few left handed bait casters to switch to when getting tired on long days....

I set the hook with my right, switch rod to the left and reel with my right. ๐ค๐
