Want to add a Rio grand Cichlid to my list. I have seen them south of lake Falcon, but assess there has changed over the years. Tried a few of the hill county Rivers, Nueces and Frio with no luck. What would be the top 3 choices to fish with a reliable chance to get a Rio?

I think I should change my no.1 choice to wherever J-Moe is fishing We have a mutual friend who is a double agent. He knows my secrets. He doesn't know I'm on to him though bschat, they are in all the Central Texas water bodies. I'm not sure where you're located but Brushy creek has lots of them that are easy to access by wading. Living Waters has guides for Brushy Creek.

There are tons of them in Brushy Creek so if you are in the Austin area that would be my No. 1 choice.

Everything said above. Some of these anglers are Rio catching machines.
