Should be the easiest appeal in history if he gets convicted.

What do you see as a basis for appeal?

Judge gave jury a long weekend. Closing arguments start Monday at 9 A.M. CST.

One of the talking HLN heads covering the trial dropped an interesting nugget of information unless he misspoke. He said the jury members were all black.

Don't know how Chuvin's attorney let that happen.

Props to the Judge. He seems like a legitimately nice guy who listens carefully to the attorney's concerns and rules fairly on objections. Wonder if he would consider or has the authority to overrule a jury verdict of guilty of murder?

A $27MM civil judgment awarded the week prior to the trial would be one obvious choice.

I'm not sure that is correct. I saw an article just before the opening statements that described all the jurors and outlined some of the questions they were asked during voir dire. I actually thought there were NO black jurors, but maybe I'm not remembering correctly.

I think he's been incredibly one sided. I see no "fairness" at all. hence my believe that this would be easily overthrown on appeal.

he ruled against:

a change in venue.
did not sequester the jury.
didn't allow the eye witness to be called.
reinstated the 3rd degree murder charge that didn't apply.

Just my 2cents
