Spent the day on Fayette last Saturday 3/6 w/ my dad that drove in from Houston.
Was a tough start from 7-10am with brisk temps in the 50s and high winds. Probably caught 5-6 fish during that time. As the day progressed the winds subsided and we found our stride and ended up ~30 bass fishing a mix of neko rig trick worms, Carolina rig brush hogs, and Tx rig brush hogs. All in flooded timber in 8-10 ft of water. Green pumpkin colors all around. Water temps 65-67 degrees.
My second time on this lake and had a great time. Hope this is helpful for you fellow fisherman.

Good post Husky, thanks for the update. Had to cancel our trip for this weekend because the RV wonโt be ready. We may make a day trip on Sunday to either Fayetteville or Raven. Going to Naconiche & Kurth in April for 5 days. We do that trip twice a year and it is always a great time fishing n camping.
Reality. What a concept!
