The dealerships are just as bad. I bought a Lincoln with a 40,000 / 4 year warranty. The finance guy tried for 15 minutes to sell me a $3,000 extended warranty. After I threatened to walk on the deal he shut up and finished all the paper work.

I kept one on for 30 minutes once. Act intrested, but the price is to high. You keep moving up the ladder. After that it was several months before they called. They won't hang-up on you if you are civil.

Get them daily, usually don’t answer, and yes half of them are from a Grand Prairie number. Unfortunately recently, I’ve had to answer all my local number calls because of the several different contractors coming to my house for repairs. I’ve had about 5 of those being car warranty related.

I guess I don’t understand why car warranties are in such demand that people actually take these scammers up on the offer

They called me twice with the same thing. They said to enter the number 9 if I want them to close my file and I entered #9.

They called me again yesterday with the same BS. I entered #9 again. We`ll see if they call again.

I see the same thing. As quick as you block one number they spoof another. I even had one come with my own phone number being the spoofed number. I've also received some nasty text from people telling me to take them off of my call list or they would report me, guess they haven't heard of spoofed numbers.

I have to answer my phone for work. I usually get 3-4 spam calls a week. Yesterday I had a call from a number that was only 40 numbers off of my own number. Knew for sure that its was going to be spam but it was actually a legit call.

I answer and get a person if i can. and tell them I have a 1975 AMC Pacer with 320,000 miles but it is in real good shape . Me and my son Raymond have won several ribbons at the county fair car show............Click.........Hello........Hello .........Dang they hung up on me again........

Play them along for a while, they need the practice, I had one cuss me and hang-up. That is hard to do!

They are usually spoofing a phone number. You can block them but that makes no difference.

I used the Google "Screening" several times today but the only thing it did was to force the caller to disconnect the spoofed call.

I usually don’t answer any caller who is onto my contact list. The car warranty scammers are the only robo callers that leave a message. Today I received a call listed as Grand Prairie, and yes it was the car warranty scammer.
I allowed the message to play 3 times without doing anything to see what would happen. After the third message, the call was cancelled.
