The industry overall is too small to have bad and untrustworthy actors in it. The sponsors and fans are capable of identifying and expelling those who they deem being just that, and what you’re seeing with MLF and their services and products being rejected is the result.
Since you present yourself as an ambassador for BASS, I deem you an untrustworthy actor and worthy of expulsion. In addition I will provide contact info to combat this constant negativity towards an industry competitor that is only driving business towards the fishing industry and its continued prosperity for its sales, service, broadcast and end users. To cancel your BASS subscription/ membership or get a refund please contact customer service at Bassmaster@emailcustomerservice.com or call 1-877-227-7872.
If they ask tell them their fanboy big O from the TFF sent you. Your welcome.

I did not re-up my membership when all the guys left and don't plan to until they have an elite series even close to where I live where I would like to marshall in that case, the magazine is thin and worthless now.

Interesting show on BTL today, every one thinks the sport is large now and apparently that is NOT the case. In 1991 35,000 new bassboats were sold, only 6,000 were sold last year. Only 12% of fisherman consider themselves bass anglers. ESPN lost millions on BASS when they bought them and attempted to promote them, I figure FOX and the BPT owner will do the same.

That’s not surprising about ESPN, as BASS was just a tiny fraction of their portfolio and terribly managed, and ESPN itself was even smaller fraction of Disney’s portfolio. The amount of bass boats sold is not surprising either. They priced themselves out of market years ago and is perfect example of how the theory supply & “demand” drives prices higher is really false. High prices is driven higher by low demand because the entities building them want to maintain the same annual revenue regardless of volume of sales. Supply is adjusted lower according to demand. I think the dynamic with Fox and BASS is different. BASS is a privately owned entity now, so profitability in this venture for both are measured differently. MLF is more like the BASS/ESPN situation of yesteryear... where the majority owner of MLF is also the owner of most of the TV networks its broadcast on.

You have the boat business model all figured out.... Nope, I sure don’t, but it’s not a business I would want to be in. There are single brand car lots that sell more units in a month than all brands of bass boats that get sold in a year... something is wrong with that business model, and it appears incessant greed and ego’s prevent the industry from pricing these things and it’s related components, more in line with actual costs to produce..
