Have carpet...love carpet. No brick at the lake house...it's that asbestos siding (built between 1950 and 1965 depending on what part we're talking about). Even then, the guest house is a slab and that one rarely needed the heater.

Tractor Supply fills my grill propane tank for about $7 and also treats the Covid with ivermectin.

500 gal here. Two adults/two kids with gas water heater and furnace. I usually have to fill it 2-3 times a year. Not cheap. It’s monitored and usually drops to about 20% before they swing by. Around $700-$750 to fill each visit. I wish city gas was an option.

Our cooktop and tankless water heater are propane, we fill our 250 gallon tank once per year.
