If you could sell out and move to any lake of your choice to live out the rest of your time......just fishing.....where would it be?
Ray Roberts, Sam Rayburn, Tawakoni, Fayette, Sommerville, Amistad, Whitney, Fairfield, Palestine, Falcon, Fork, PK, Brownwood, others?
East Texas, Dallas area, further south, east?

I would probably pick rayburn, but that's only so we wouldnt be super far from family. If family wasnt a concern I would probably go to Alabama

I like fishing different lakes and don’t want to risk moving to a lake only to have all the vegetation wiped out the month after I get there.

To answer the question, Athens/Athens area.

had a place at fork or 8 yrs. now and caretaker for a private hunting property, no plans to change a thing.
could be fully retired and fish fork etc. but like it up here at the ranch, I got lucky and got the best of both worlds.

Sandlin for sure. Beautiful area with some awesome fish. And close enough to everything else for a day run

If there was ANYTHING near Zapata...Falcon. It's just soooo isolated, but that's what makes the fishing so good almost year round. Not nearly the traffic some of the other lakes get and hardly any wave boats!

As much as I want to leave San Angelo its actually not a bad place to be. Over a half dozen good lakes to fish within an hours drive.

I don't mind living on Amistad at all but would go back around Fork if given the chance. Had a trailer there for years and miss it every day.
Somewhere around Rayburn would not break my heart either.

Even though its a mere shadow of it's once (glory days) Still thinking of a move to Amistad. Be nice if two places were possible one for summer one for winter!!

South Padre/Port Isabel-I could chase big Snook/Trout. If I got a freshwater itch, I could head to Choke or Flacon for those little green fish stir
