Got out to Aquilla yesterday. Water temp was about 60-62. Marked a lot of small fish on brush on the main lake but couldn't buy a bite. The wind picked up so I headed for the dam. Found a lot of fish on structure but couldn't get them to bite either. Then I found a bunch of decent size fish hanging about 20-30 feet backed off the structure. So I started targeting them and it was on. Got a limit by 2:30. All were caught on black and chartreuse with 1/4oz. jig head. Most were suspended at around 15' in 25' of water. If I could get the jig in front of them they would nail it. The last trip there I couldn't find them at the dam and had to settle for brush and timber. Fished all day for 7 fish. The time before that they were at the dam. Go figure.
