I cycle between a half arse beard till it annoys me and clean shaven. I shaved this morning, I start with clippers before I get in shower, then I take hot shower scrubbing face with rag and soap from a pump. Afterwards hot water and razor. Followed by a splash of cold water. I feel special once it's done.

After shower with hot water and no shaving cream. Been doing it like this for years.

Hot splash prior to lather, hot to rinse razor, then cold to wash off. This is how I read to do it when but a wee yute. Something to do with pores opening and closing.

Had to laugh at WAWI. When I saw this thread I figured someone would say something about pump soap or body wash. If, and thatโs a big fat if I let mine get out of control I use bar soap with H2O.
