another bucktail/deerhair/feather fly That would look even better with an epoxy head for stream lining the fly. Def looks good though. Did you tie a rattle chamber in there at all?
If anyone is looking for saltwater/freshwater flies (streamers/clousers..etc etc) let me know. I am also available for custom flies needing to be made.

No rattle but that's a dang good suggestion! Many of my hairbugs get a stream-side haircut to slim them down...
Wednesday afternoon I lost a good rabbit strip deceiver fly to a gar so I need to make some more like it for next trip. At one time I had 5 bass looking at that deceiver 10 feet away from me in about a foot of clear water but by the time I got my camera out one of the bass attacked the fly and the others spooked.
The deceiver looks like a catfish or waterdog the way it swims through the water. Every once in a while I get the combination right and the fish will just go crazy attacking a fly, that fly was one of those and I was pretty bummed when the gar took it.. I had simular flys with me but those didn't seem to have the same action that the fish were looking for. I was catching fish on almost everything I was throwing but that particular deceiver gathered the most attention by far! It is so cool when a bass comes out of nowhere to slam a slow moving fly!

I have a VERY simplistic deceiver that I will try and tie over the weekend and post on here that guarantees you to catch fish. I have tested this lure in 6 different states on a variety of predatory fish and it has been a HUGE success. I will see what I can do this weekend and show you. Its so simple you will laugh but the action it gives off and the effortless time it takes to tie it makes for an exceptional fly to fish with.

Def....I've fished this lure on the Manhawkin river, Sesquihana river, ponds, big lakes, everywhere....and bass, pickrel, pike, ALL of them eat this thing up. Largest fish I've caught on it was a 6.7lb small mouth bass...and thats HUGE for a SMB.

That is some fantastic work! That guy is an artist working in the medium of tying, not a guy tying up some flies to fish with; because if it were me those flies would never get near water. Kinda like a shotgun with gold inlays.

Some of those need to have a coat of Raid, so they don't fly off
