Well, there is the the tying session at Bass Pro on some Saturdays. I believe its at least once a month. If we were to contact them we might be able to arrange something. I'll see if I can get in touch with one of those fellows.

How about this? How about we get a sign-up list of who all would be interested, serious enough to drive somewhere in the Metroplex? Then we could work out where would be the best overall location and then arrange a time?
If you are in then let me know; I'll start a signup thread if enough interest is expressed here

Im game. Maybe meet up for some lunch or something and have an area to tie some flies and show materials...trade some info and stuff. Would like a good time to me.
If anyone is looking for saltwater/freshwater flies (streamers/clousers..etc etc) let me know. I am also available for custom flies needing to be made.

awesome pics man. What body of water were you fishing. I love wading in the shallows for bass. I used to do it back in NJ on some of the small lakes/ponds that were around my area. Good stuff

There will be a couple of real good tiers demonstrating how to use deer hair at Eisenhower State Park on Saturday, June 23. They are part of the group of fly tiers that will be tying at the "Texoma on the Fly" event. The tying demo's will start at 9:00 and will continue through the morning. Everything is free and this is a great opportunity to learn more about tying.

I fish two lakes most often, Somerville and Lake Bryan. There are many new photos of fish that I caught this spring at a local stock tank that a friend of mine has near Kurten.

Guys
I just heard from Big Dale of the Dallas Fly Fishers and Roadkill Roundup. They meet every Saturday at Bass Pro in Grapevine. I asked if it would be OK for a bunch of folks to show up wanting to learn more about deer hair tying. I await his response at this time.
