Moved in with my uncle at 18, my Uncle Sam that is lol. Then after I ETS'd I lived at home in the summers and vacation cause college dorms closed.

As soon as I graduated from HS I was gone. Spent 6 months in the mountains of CO in a tent catching trout and enjoying life and then off to Navy bootcamp. Never looked back.

18. 7 days after graduating HS my butt was on the way to boot camp.
Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Nope. Graduated the end of May 1984, moved from a town of about 3000 people to Phoenix Arizona a week later to go to trade school UTI. I was blessed with the best parents on the planet. I’m now returning the favor and I’m a caregiver for my 93-year-old dad who lives on our place with us.
