Generally bass are dark in clear water and white or washed out in really dirty/turbid water. So many folks equate dark colored bass as "healthy" and very light bass as "unhearlthy". This is not true. However, in your case the top bass in a melanistic bass, meaning it has a genetic issue causing to to be black. Similar to albino animals in the wild. Last edited by salex; 09/08/20 05:17 PM.
