OC Fisher $4 a person or $70 annual pass
Twin Buttes $12 annual park pass per person

Have a friend on PK that has 2 ramps, 30 cabins, 30 Rv sites and Restaurant and doesn't charge a dime for ramps, said if people stop and get ice,beer or lunch that's payment enough.  Bet his property taxes are not $50,000 a year.

if you think its high buy some lakefront property an get in competition it cost a lot to run marinas an they don't make good money all year. And they are in that profession by CHOICE. Say what you want, but $20 is going to cost them more revenue than it will gain. Folks with $150,000 pleasure boats don't give a damn about a $20 ramp fee. Are you from around Lake Conroe? How do you know that a 20% increase will lose more revenue than they gain? Will the loss in revenue affect their NET? Do you know what the increase was for 2020 on the Montgomery County tax rolls? Do you know what a lakefront acre on Lake Conroe, with a permit for a ramp, store and docks cost? Do you know what it cost, per sq ft, to build lakeside?

ABSOLUTELY I do. I've owned 3 lakefront properties with deep water access year round. Bottom line is that I'm NOT going to pay a $20 ramp fee every time I put the boat in when it may very well be a 3 hour evening trip several times a week! That amounts to $3000 or so per year. Lots of free or reasonably priced ramps on productive bodies of water for me to pay that price. I understand that revenue makes the business work. As a prior business owner of several profitable businesses I can relate. Everyone has to draw their personal line in the sand somewhere..

Yeah, I come from Commifornia where every lake is about $15 to fish alone and $25 to fish with a partner. Anyone after that is another $7.
They also have a lake where the fees are $35 to fish!? Diamond Valley.
It's ludicrous the money they make, yet the don't take care of things. Some lakes could use a little TLC, instead the money goes into purchasing the "water" they store. AHAHAHHA
