One area I had to make adjustments on was eye placement. Depending on your shank length, if you put the eye right there on your hook shank, you could build up a glob of superglue that blocks off a portion of the hook gap. Now I am very careful how much glue is used, and try to keep the eye on the upper half of the shank.
Lost 3 fish for not being able to get the hook set in order to learn that lesson.

Thanks for the tip for the eyes. I tried to put the least amount of glue on the bottom side of eyes as possible, but I see what you mean. There is not a big gap between eyes and hook point. I will have to play around with that too.
I am using Chocklett's Gamechanger chenille in the minnow grey color. Fibers are about .5" long(i think). I am going to try and experiment with other stuff as well though.
