I'd fish in the ditch on the side of the road before I would go to fork. Head to rayburn.

Don't listen to those idiots. Come to the prettiest lake in Texas, Possum Kingdom. Lots of good fishing, crappie, bass & catfish.
I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

You could do a split trip. Falcon and Amistad. The numbers and some size in Amistad, but better chance at a giant on Falcon. Maybe do 2 on one, 3 on the other. I was about to say that would be a HELL of a haul for the OP, but hes originally going to Canada.. lol. I'd suggest Rayburn.. You could also hit up Toledo Bend while you're there.. usually if I stay at Rayburn for any period of time I do that. Good place to stay on Rayburn is Twin Dikes.

Caddo is an excellent choice. Lots of numbers with quite a few big fish. The first time I fished it was last June and my first day on the lake I had a 6.52 and a 6.7 over. Another guy in our club caught one over 9 that day.
