Buy a rod repair kit at WalMart or Academy. Cut the old broken eyelet off with a sharp razor (don't cut into the blank). Wrap the new eyelet with thin thread. Coat the thread with super glue. You can spend more time and wrapping to make it look cleaner, but here is one I fixed yesterday. Works fine.

Look up rod repair on YouTube (there are a bunch of good instructions) I repaired a Castaway rod myself using super glue, UV cement and coated it with clear fingernail polish. I had some matching thread in my fly tying gear. If you take your time and use a small loop of braid to pull the tag end back through, it looks much cleaner and will hold better.
