+1 I probably prefer left just because I feel like my balance is better,but like most, use both

I am left handed and use my right foot on the trolling motor 90% of the time.

Both... mainly depends on boat position to cover/shoreline. Offshore right foot mainly.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!

Never really thought about it. I guess if Iām fishing the bank from the starboard side, it is left foot, port is my right foot. I try to fish the starboard side, since most of my reels are left handed and my buddies are right handed. It keeps us from sword fighting as often.

90% right 8% left 2% when retrieving lures that might have been snagged in low tree lines my hands.

Most of the time with my right. No cartilage in my right ankle and all the surgeries on my ankle and knee makes weight bearing on it extremely painful.
