You know my answer already; as we have fished together. 20 of the 5500C3's all on MH rods except for the SPOOK rod. No line under 17 lb. test and get in the heaviest cover I can find this time of year. Sorry No Help with your question. I just do not use technique specific equipment for catching fish. We are going to feeding fish and they do not care. If they need to be force fed; then they will have to wait for me another day. Sent you a pm Don.

BB1 pro on a 3/8 Tx rig with a 7’3†mh rod. Lately I been using a H3 rod I believe is 7’2†and love the combo.

I'm a metanium guy I think I have 6 or 7 on glx and an nrx. One of my favorite has to be a megabass destroyer daemos i have with a lews pro z for throwing a tube with a tube head. Show off. I'm a pheasant who feels like a king flipping with my Bantam MGL's on IMX-Pros.

All my technique rods have my favorite reel, Shimano MG 50, and my technique backup rods have my second favorite reel Shimano Curado 100 B, All my rods are Loomis GL3, for reaction baits and IMX and GLX for slow baits These where my old setups. I had one MG50 that I bought from a friend for a good price. The weight of those things are amazing. I’ve since given it to another buddy and he like to send me pics of it every now and then. I’ve never owned the Curado 100B but instead bought Citicas and added the extra ball bearing to make them identical. Most are now worn down from years of fishing and sit in a storage box.

My favorite technique is throwing a crig. I use a shimano antares on a kistler zbone 7’3. Coming in a close second is a frog. I use a 13 fishing concept kp on a kistler 7’ zbone for that.

Yes they are old reels, they get serviced every year and I have enough spares to get parts, since Shimano does not make parts for them any more

I’m almost entirely exclusive to Shimano SLX reels on my cranking rods and Shimano Chronarch MGL reels on everything else. Spinning rods have the Stradic Ci4. Loving Shimano.
If you can't find em wind em.
