Texas rig. Probably what I throw the most, so might as well enjoy that set up as much as I can.

You know my answer already; as we have fished together. 20 of the 5500C3's all on MH rods except for the SPOOK rod. No line under 17 lb. test and get in the heaviest cover I can find this time of year. Sorry No Help with your question. I just do not use technique specific equipment for catching fish. We are going to feeding fish and they do not care. If they need to be force fed; then they will have to wait for me another day.

I like Lews Speed spool for the price, and my favorite is a crank bait. Before Pfluger changed the president to spinning real that was my favorite on a T-rig.

My favorite setups are football jig/c-rig rods and they have either a core 100MG7 or a Curado K XG mounted on them.

My reels are multi-functional. I even have one rod and reel that I use for crankbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, swim jigs and chatterbaits.
Crazy, ain't it?

I use Daiwa Tatula Elites for all my fishing. Makes things simpler. My favorite reel is on all my setups.

My favorite reel is on a Falcon Lizard Dragger. I spool it with 17lb InvisX and use it for a 3/8oz Shaky head.

Shimano Chronarch Ci4 on my Falcon frog rod. I’ve replaced all other shimano with identical Lews reels but that particular Shimano is a beast.

Guess i am about like you Mr. Harper I use my 5500 c3s a lot Dont even know how many of them i have. Still throw as good as when they were new Some gotts be 30 yrs old Even have some of the red ones that they called a Winch 3:8 to 1 ratio You can sling a big swimbait a long ways with them and you dont have to worry about reeling them too fastm

My favorite reel is a Revo SX and I have 12 of them on everything from topwater and squarebill tods too flipping sticks.
Have 3 STXs that i wish i would have never bought, a couole winches on deep cranking rods, and some Lews.Speed spools. I seem to always have issues with the Speed Spools with the worm gears and drags wearing out.
Havent had a single issue with one of my SXs yet.
