sounds like DieselP2 will fix you up. Ford does have a tsb on the fuse problem with a repair kit.

Google Ford 5.0 VCT solenoid, see if that matches what's happening. Change your oil and see if it goes away. If I go over 3k miles between oil changes, I'll be driving on the highway, exit, come to a stop, then the truck dips below 500rpm and will die. Ford will replace under warranty only if it throws certain codes. People are reporting that they have to take the truck past 20% oil life remaining to get the codes to stick. For us out of warranty, just change your oil every 3k.

Figure out how to pull the bed. Order fuel pump and filter from Amazon. Proceed.

By the way,you don't have to replace the entire fuel pump unit, you can just replace the little motor(assuming that's the problem).I did that on a little S-10 I had. Let us know when you find what the problem is/was.

Hey, thanks!

He will be coming over tomorrow to see what we can figure out. I bought that fuse 27 relocation kit. About 6 months ago, that fuse was completely melted and I was stranded. I put a new fuse in, but I am thinking that maybe the wiring to it is also damaged. I took the fuse I have in it out and put a brand new one in and it won't even start.

Recieved a new mass airflow sensor in the mail today and installed it.

Code reader was reading a barometric pressure of 11.1 PSI before.
After putting the new one in, she started up and idled fine. Drove her around the neighborhood for a bit and the barometric pressure now reads 14.6 PSI. Will attempt to drive it to work Wednesday.
