Reportedly Big Sam lake level dropped 3 inches when they stepped out of the boat to weigh that monster sack!

I've been on Rayburn since '98 and she keeps getting better. Curious on how the high water last spring (8 months over pool ) impacted growth or Bass natural survival rates?

any time the water gets up like it did last year during the spawn is good. look at all the water that you couldn't get to. tuff fishing some what, but look at the results.

What a Sack! Congrats! Any info on how the fish were caught? I would doubt that the whole story will be told but a hint would help. Were they throwing a Carolina rig? A lipless????

Carolina rigged bubble gum deep diving Zara spook? Lol Man I don’t know what they caught them on. I fish yesterday and today. Caught fish, 5 1/2 yesterday 6.6 this morning. I just can’t find one of those mystical spots! I love throwing a jig so I’m a happy man right now. Just no 30lb sacks! Lol

was not talking about the big fish that was weighed in, some body said something about high water & the bushes. if they let the water stay high it makes for a better spawn. 10 0r 12 years from now maybe a big fish. smart [censored]. by the way get another power pole on your boat so it will not look stupid.

The high water protects the big fish from being caught, it actually protects a lot of fish from being caught. Fish of all species so that food sources are better, spawns are better, fish health is better, etc.
