I know these things are definitely the exception to the rule but man there seems to be more and more people being caught cheating in tournaments lately. I guess when there's enough money on the line people are willing to do just about anything. We would probably all be suprised how many cheaters their really are. Money brings out the worst in people. J D

I wish anyone that came in 2nd to this guy could file a civil suite against him. But I don't know how you'd prove in that instance he cheated. But cheaters cheat. I'll never tournament fish. There are way more effective ways to make money and I do it for the joy of just being on the water. But boy if I fished for my livelihood, I'd do everything I could to make him pay. If you fish tournaments just for money 99% would be dissatisfied with it and quit. I would rather fish for fun during the week if possible just too many people on our lakes. J D

..Too many people on our lakes, just enjoying the same thing you are enjoying. I fish tournaments, mostly the company club I work for. I am definitely not doing it for the money! ...If I did win, it would not even pay for my gas. I fish our tournaments for the competition and the sheer excitement of fishing!

I guess when there's enough money on the line people are willing to do just about anything. I think that more people are caught now because of the tech. Everybody has a video cam on their phone now.

In the Sharkathon shark tournaments, they can ask a winner to take a polygraph test after the award ceremony. I'd like to see someone try & cheat that.
