If you use a floating worm theyll stay up, manns, smashtech, some bps worms and lizards are floaters.

If you use a ribbon tail or wide tail like a zoom dead ringer worm they take longer than I usually let them sit to actually fall over or settle on the bottom. The dead ringer flutters and floats about with the slightest water movement or rod tip shake.

It doesnt take much movement to keep them up on the shakey head I posted above. I usually fish it on a spinning rod w braid to 10-12 floro. Though I dont use that much in Texas cus of the big bites that can happen.


Even with a floppy spinning rod and just barely lifting the tip they hop and flutter a foot, I only know this because of live scope. Its darn near impossible to just drag one of these on the bottom.
