I was just thinking the same thing.
Have they started moving up into the creeks.
I know this lake is a big secret. Not looking for spots
just want to lip a few fish.

I may go try out at the dam. I know there is a way to get to the dam off of Beltline I believe
I may go tomorrow after work

They are up in the creeks in limited numbers. They haven’t moved in fully. It just hasn’t been cold enough yet to really drive them in in masses.

Google maps. Just look for creeks feeding the lakes and you can see access points on them. I have spent hundreds of hours scouting out creeks this way. You can also see laydowns or stumps too depending on the lake level at the time of the image.

I guess you just have to find some you can get to.I can take the boat and bank it and walk up into the creek if possible. Did you know there is a yak launching area in Loyd that puts you right at the Walnut Creek Mouth?I`ve launched my 8ft pelican there SEVERAL TIMES a few winters back and tore em up!!
