Nothing can cast farther than an Abu Record IMO.
Nothing is more comfortable, if comfort is important to you, than the BPS Prolite Finesse low profile and very small reel.
Where punters are punted.

Round, all I use are Abu's. I do have one Torno, the only problem with it is the smaller line capacity. I haven't looked at any other LP reels for that reason.

I have a Calcutta 51, a Revo, Calcutta 151, 4501C3, and other low profile reels, and reguardless of how low they sit, the low profile reels are more comfortable to me to hold. It doesn't bother me, because I still like my round reels.

For straight power and durability, I prefer a Round Abu Garcia. For the best technology and overall performance, I'd have to go with my Abu Garcia Revo SX low profile.
On the whole, I use my low profile more, but if I'm stripper fishing I'll go back to my C3.

I use low profiles all the time, the Citica and the Calyx in particular.
