Enough about football, and politics for now. Lets get back to things we all agree on...like stuff our faces with tasty food!
Fall might be coming finally. I want to try something new and delicious in the slow cooker.
What is your best recipe for the old Crok Pot?
**NO BEEF please. I know that limits us but the GF does not eat beef and I want to make something we can both enjoy.
So when you get her by the ears Where's the Beef?
I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

I am probably the only one that does this.
When I have something cooking that I have been smelling cook for 8 hours...I don’t want that anymore. Between smelling and sampling...I want something else... Yup. After smoking meat all day, I just want a hot dog.

After smoking meat all day, I just want a hot dog. By suppertime I'm simply not hungry. And I'll cook something wonderful and maybe eat three bites and be done.

Do you find that? Use bone in and skin on chicken. It helps add flavor and it's easy to skin and de-bone after cooking for several hours.

My grandmother was from North Carolina and made an incredible North Carolina style pulled pork in a crock pot. It was spicy and she would use the juices to make a sauce. I don’t have the recipe anymore, but I made it once and it was good. I’m sure you can find something similar online. Really easy and delicious.
