I think TPWD will shock or net a lot of them (the fish), hopefully they get dumped into Canyon.

Public assess been shut down for a long time....all money needs to come from private land owners. Here is their chance to pony up some money. If even a $1 comes from public funding then they should not be able to deny access to the public, that goes for any lake in the state of Texas. Hate to say it but Karma is a B!tch. McQueeny is the only private lake without public access. Dunlap, Placid, and Meadow do. I am unsure of Gonzales. There have been free boat ramps on these lakes as long as I can remember. McQueeny may be in a tough spot to raise the funding...... McQueeney is not a private lake.

So where are the Dunlap and mcqueeney fish going to end up when this is all over? In the gulf....
Most will be caught up in kayak/jetboat accessible areas downstream. It's already happening. You'll be amazed how many 30+ bags, 7-10 pound fish are getting caught if you can get in some of pools

The drummer I work with lives on McQueeny. I'll check with him on what his neighbors are saying and doing. He's been seriously upset about this whole shebang.

Is Mcqueeny the lake I have seen discussed on here before that is a public lake that basically the locals have taken over and blocked off all public access too??? If so I would rather see it drained than 1 cent of my tax dollars used for repair. Yes sir, that’s the very one. Well guess they will get their privacy now . Since they didn’t want the public on their water guess public tax dollars shouldn’t be used to fix their predicament lol. Karma is well J D
I got all day I’m retired

Yes the river still flows through Dunlap and is actually still a dammed up lake.....although a much smaller lake(reservoir) now. The top portion spillgate portion of the dam failed. The bottom section is still in place. The Guadalupe River is not down to its original stream size.....yet. It will be if they completely remove the dams. Regardless, the stream/lake/reservoir......whatever you want to call it now still flows through and out the remains of the dam. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eGG4lfoR52A

The good people on McQueeny got exactly what they wanted. The public can not access their lake. It's call Karma.
