My AC has ran nonstop the last few days. Understandable with the heat. But today, it's not neat as hot and even when the room reaches the set temp it never cycles off. What is the problem? It's a unit that is 3 years old, filters have all been changed and new batteries in thermostat.

Could be the thermostat, could just be that it's so humid....could be not enough clearance around the outside unit...could be low on freon....could be a bad capacitor. Could be a lot of things...

Is it chilling down to your set temp? Yes Then rock on. It should shut off when it hits that temp.

Is it chilling down to your set temp? Yes I don't know much about ACs, but I would try what I try on most other things electric. Shut off the power (breaker) for 5-10 minutes and see if something resets. Might be worth a shot.
