We had mostly de-stocked the pond first and luckily we have a lot of grass in it so lots of hiding placing and I'm hoping for some big fish sooner rather than later.

Plenty of people have tough outings on CB. Certainly your odds are way higher on private water, but it is not anything comparable to high fence hunting.
