Camelot Bell

Camelot Bell - 08/12/19 03:12 PM

I had great trip Saturday with my son before he goes to Baylor to start college. If you haven’t been the owner Mike Frazier is a super nice guy and very helpful. I hope We can make an annual visit to enjoy this very special fishery. We fished one day and had 1 11lbr, 1 10l br, and 1 9.5 lbs.

Never have we experienced a day like this! It was blazing hot over 100 degree’s and the fishing was obviously just as hot!

Can you imagine being 18 years old and catching 2 double digits in one day? Crazy!!!

Do you just beat the back at CB or are there off-shore structures marked? Does he has SI in his boat? I’m curious how you find them off-shore at CB because I think you have to use his boat, yes?

Re: Camelot Bell - 08/12/19 03:22 PM

He let us bring our boat. He takes a map out and walks you through all off shore structures. He had a lot of poles in the water to mark things.

It's really not a bad price for the opportunity to catch a true giant that not many lakes even have. About the same as 2 days guided on a normal lake.

Re: Camelot Bell - 08/12/19 05:29 PM

Awesome! We just stocked one of our 8 acre ponds at one of the ranches with these genetics. Can't wait to see what we have in the coming years.

Re: Camelot Bell - 08/12/19 05:56 PM

Is was $1,500 per day plus $150 for use of the cabin.

Well worth the memories to me!

Did I mention 2 double digits for the kid in one day!?!?!? Where in the world does that happen?!?!?

1,500 fingerlings after we stocked all of the forage fish. We had mostly de-stocked the pond first and luckily we have a lot of grass in it so lots of hiding placing and I'm hoping for some big fish sooner rather than later.

The big difference of course is that you can see the deer and a buck can't choose to not eat your bullet. Plenty of people have tough outings on CB. Certainly your odds are way higher on private water, but it is not anything comparable to high fence hunting. Congrats to the OP on an awesome day on the water!

My wife is a coach at your boys old high school. He and I have talked fishing a time or two. In fact, before she got on full time with the school, she was substituting his class and he had her call me so he could tell me what they were biting on Conroe haha. Good kid. Congrats on the 2 DD's.

$1500 for two anglers, $2K for three. Fish all day sun up to sun down. You can bring your own boat or rent Mike's for $100/day.

With all the problems with the youth today and the millenniums who expect everything and their entitlement......why would you set such a standard for your child that now he will be disappointed with anything less for the rest of his life. Set the bar kinda high didn’t you? JK......great send off and memories for both of y’all that will outlive you! thumb

Wrong. Mike built both Camelot Bell and Wolfpack from scratch. Maybe you're talking about the big soil conservation lake across the road.

The best thing to do is to call the number on the website. That is Mike's cell. Or you can text him. He will reply to that. He is not great about replying to emails.
