Years ago we were staying at 4 Season's RV Park and I decided to go a little north and fish at night, set up before dark in cove on west side and started fishing. Right after dark I heard this roar and couldn't figure out what it was for a couple minutes then it(they) hit me...BUGs..BUGS !!! It was so bad that I had to quit and go in. Don't know if it's better south but those suckers really came out at night. Unbearable !
Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

I guess I left out the most important part . I am a border patrol agent Well now everyone can stop giving you all their own safety advise and start worrying about wether or not they are paying you to fish on the clock! They’re going to worry about something anyway! JK. Looks fun. Always thought about it but was always to wore out after a 12-14hr day on the lake. Also, thank you for the job you guys do down there! We “need you on that wall”! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hopNAI8Pefg

My hat's off to you FLG! Had you told us that from the start, my reply would have been different. We've had BP out on our place NE of Laredo many times. Those guys are fearless, tough hombres. They call our area "the exotic" sector b/c most of the people they catch are OTM. Thanks for what you do

And I guess encouraging folks to fish at night? For each their own. Everyone can make their own decisions. Side Note: I have fished Falcon a few times at night years ago and had no problems at all. If I was younger I would be fishing that lake more often.

Having up to hour intel, and situational awareness, and knowing the cavalry is a phone call away, is a lot easier than the Joe Schmo who just goes down there for the weekend a few times a year. More power to our BP who have to deal with putting their lives on the line keeping us safe so we can go down there and fish with peace of mind.

You can bet your [censored]. Night fishing on Falcon. If you don't get a visit from the bad guys. The BP or State would find you or be waiting at your launch site. Seen it a couple times. They know you're out there day or night.
