Yep I know the place. I hope they enjoy the lake life. Because they have a really odd way to show it. Ive fished it with kids and their behavior gets no better. We were vertically fishing AWAY from the dock with zero casting.

Looks like a great spot to sink brush around the edge then post coordinates for all the crappie and bass guys. Similar to lake Austin dock owners, I know one that says specifically not to cast around dock. It's laughable and everyone shares these locations so it can be fished regularly

I have never had an issue, but I rarely stop in that area. I may make a stop on Sunday when I am out there. My parents live on a lake and their neighbors are our long time family friends from back home. Individually they are all "ok" with someone fishing around the dock, but get everyone together with all the grand kids in town and they act like the water in front of the house is theirs. They would never go down and cuss a boater fishing when no kids are in the water, but I have seen them have it out with some noodlers on our boat ramp. I have had to explain the law to them more than once. I dont know what it is that causes this mindset, maybe when you use the area more than anyone else you start thinking it is yours. The funny thing is that as a kid they were fine with me literally trespassing on people's property to go fish someones pond. My son asks me to go to some ponds he is fishing from time to time, and I always have to tell him that there is just something "acceptable" about a kid trespassing to fish that quickly becomes "unacceptable" when you reach a certain age.

If families or kids are swimming around a dock I wont fish near it even if it is the best dock on the lake. Same thing if people are on the dock fishing or just enjoying the lake. I think that is the right thing to do. That said if no one is using the water or dock I will fish it. I am also a lakefront dock owner and can tell you for sure those bouys and floats marking his swim hole dont mean anything. It is illegal to block off any part of the water.

That swim area looks very illegal and potentially a dangerous hazard
I've dealt with several angry dock owners ( it's been the highlight of a few slow fishing days), but that swim area takes the cake.

Never fish LBJ, but if I was a regular, I'd be tempted to make my way out there at night and release their rope float back into the wild...

If Im wrong Im sorry but I dont think hes allowed to do that. They dont own any of the water. Dock, items, land yes.... but not the water. I would call Game Wardens and have them get involved. There is a lady on Ray Hubbard that will come down and harass you but Ive dealt with her enough she doesnt even bother me anymore. The lady in Yankee Creek??

Docks are one of my favorite things to fish. But i will always quit casting and take a wide berth around occupied docks. But if i'm fishing a dock and someone comes out with an attitude. I set up camp and keep fishing

Tell them to google Texas Sportsmans Rights. Its the top return and has all the info they need. They can even use the same smart phone they are threatening to call the cops with

Man. Its just a dock. I used to have a horrible temper. Over the years, Ive had to learn to avoid person to person conflict. I have been to jail too many times for swinging first and talking later. Somewhere between the last letter k and the first letter y, Id have three or four of their front teeth stuck between my knuckles. Followed by an ambulance, a couple patrol cars, and a set of cuffs. Lol. If someone came down bitching, Id just leave. Nobody l,or fish, is worth the trouble. Now days, I just smile and imagine them with fresh dental work.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
