Was reading about that tournament on BBC, that was a team tournament that Dave Vogel organized. Great man and angler.

I was not in that tourney that was two weeks before my tourney. (interestingly I looked at bbc and the winning weight was 24.18 for that team event)

Mine was a club tourney for me and I was fishing against the guy in the back of my boat as we have 5 non boaters and the short sticks get them..... I havent ever fished any form of a open tourney.

It clearly doesnt hurt the fish just like piercing a ear but internet keyboard warriors were quick to whine about my fingers poking thru the existing holes. Everyone is a critic.

Those holes make it easier to hold all five with two hands! roflmao

Good catch for that area. Hell...any area for that matter.

Fish brains cannot interpret pain like higher mammals. I mean they know something is going on obviously but they cannot feel pain so to speak. Nice bag sir!

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Sw? Like the ponds on 29?

Closest to me is Carter Lake Nebraska, then in Iowa Anita, Viking, Green Valley, 3 mile, 12 mile, Icaria.

I lived in Red Oak before moving to Lake Fork 25 yrs ago. I miss some of those SW Iowa lakes. Green Valley was know for having big fish, as well as Burchard in SE Nebraska. caught my first couple of fish over 7 lbs in those 2 lakes.

yeah after being in Texas a few months coming home to small mostly no wake lakes that have nobody on them or maybe 1-2 other guys max during the week is very enjoyable. Not to mention the usual 20 fish days.

Go to the wed? night weekly tourney weigh in at the ramp. They do a 3 bass pm tourney.

Brushy has some nice fish I fished a club event up there and caught a bunch of 4-5 lbers in a few spots but come tourney day couldnt find them.

Isn't that a little dangerous lipping critters up in the great white North? Serious bag anywhere but especially Iowa and congrats on the successful execution.
