ABA Opens Series. I have no idea why more don't fish it. Very well run. Good payout($5k guarantee to 1st place boater with 60 boats). Good competition. National championship winner can win over $100K in cash and prizes. I actually wanted to fish that series, but there is no attention being drawn when only 5-7 people sign up in our region for Rayburn You are very uninformed. The OPEN Series draws anywhere from 70 to a little over 100 boats on Rayburn.

Basschamps 20k for first place at every tournament, by far the highest drawing tournament trail in Texas that has regional divisions so you don’t have any tournaments 4+ hours away. They run a great show, weigh ins are as smooth as can be, and overall dealing with anyone on the Basschamps staff has been awesome. Chad, Jeff, David, and the whole Basschamps crew are top notch. Also some of the toughest competition around, if you wanna know where you stack up against the best in our area this is the trail for you.
We fished our first Bass Champs tournament recently and were thoroughly impressed with everything about it. Sign in, their sound system, blastoff, weigh-in, the whole thing was extremely well run. We got text messages reminding us of our boat number and weigh-in time, then on the way home we got a text showing where we ended up in the standings by the time we got 20 miles down the road. We plan to fish more BC events in the future.

Theres so many quality options in Texas. Anglers can find almost anything that suits their fancy. Arguably there are too many choices.

I haven't looked into the open series because it's boater/co-angler and not really a fan of that format.
